Cow leather is usually a precious material and sought after for more than one reason. It’s tough, strong and durable, as well as beautiful and enchanting: a leather piece can last you for years, and with proper care it will remain pristine. We recommend not cleaning your Matera, as over time it develops a unique patina typical of its use, gaining its own style depending on how you use it. That’s why you’ll find out that you’re buying a unique and personal product. In case of suffering liquid stains, absorb it with a dry cloth and without rubbing. Then, let it dry at room temperature, without exposing it to the sun. Avoid contact with soap, alcohol, grease and abrasives, as they can alter the color or cause deterioration of the cow leather.

• Shall we make a Mate Drink?

To prepare your first mate drink or “mate” you will need yerba mate, a mate straw or “bombilla”, hot water and of course a mate cup. Put yerba mate up to three quarters of the mate cup. Cover it with your hand and shake it, leaving a smaller amount of yerba mate at the base and more near the ferrule, forming a “little cliff”. Serve water in the part with the least amount of yerba, where the mate straw would go. Let the mate rest for a minute. Continue pouring the water in the wet side of the mate cup, keeping the other side dry. Place the mate straw on the wet side, covering it with your thumb so that no air enters in it. Enjoy your mate!
